First Quest: Grand Opening of the Seven Winds Health and Beauty Spa

This is Deedee Yeowoo, lately of Elysium.

I’ve used some of what I earned from the last job to start a business in the Brimstone district, the Seven Winds Health and Beauty spa. So far we have a hot spring, a cool bath, and some tables and chairs for bodywork.

Naturally, I intend to further the cause with the place, both as a safe retreat and place for me to heal Corsairs in trouble and to get rich nobles so pampered and relaxed that they’ll forget they’re in front of the help and blab about how hard their job is and all the stupid regulations their boss put in place to stop, say, the Corsairs from waltzing in.

If anyone needs healing or rest, stop by. I’m also going to need supplies - salves, soaps, oils and incense, even actual real medicine. If there’s anything like a truth potion that would also be very helpful.

Come to think of it, Mom probably doesn't have the coin to go to a spa. I could send her some...but it's the Corsairs who are paying me...so the money would just be going back to wear it was in the first place.

...then again, I'm pretty sure that's how money usually works anyway except replace the Corsairs with nobles, so it should work out.

Oh, sorry. Fiore Ward, nice to meet you. I was part of the prison break, but not one of the outworlders...which I'm guessing you are, since I don't know what the Screaming Twenties or a buck are.

I was a teenager during the 2020’s as we reckoned them back home. Between the plague, the economic recession, and the attempted theocratic coup, “the Screaming Twenties” stuck.

A buck was just what we called our money. Twenty was good for a cheap meal at the time.

I want to say "the year is young" but, as a friend of mine was fond of saying, "Don't pull out a seat for the Devil, he can find one just fine on his own."

For all that Mundus was, ah, adventure friendly it felt much safer than home.

Mundus was...

Mundus was another world that I found myself in, changed into the form you see now. And the thing of it is that this was an improvement. I didn't know what I was doing back home. I had to wake up in Mundus, become a Sylphanite priest and a martial artist, to find out.

I didn't have to do it alone, at least. A bunch of my friends also washed up on the Shores of Awakening with me. Actually, a... legion of people from my home, which was a major problem for the people of Mundus that they graciously allowed us to help sort out.
