Hello to everyone! I hope you're all doing as good or better than me. I know things have been very active and stressful lately, so I was thinking about reading a book. But then I thought that it would be a shame to just sit in a room while I'm recovering, and there's a lot of other people who might want to read a book, so I'm wondering if anyone might want to join a book club? Just to do some reading, be social with each other, things like that! If we pick a short title and read it quickly, we could have a first meeting in a week or so and then follow up with some more substantial volumes for subsequent months.
I was thinking that we might avail ourselves of the rather large collection of forbidden or restricted literature that the Vault has built up. Even if Floatsam has a rather mixed reputation for book safety and Elysium requires you to hide forbidden literature, we can still send out copies to everyone. But we'll need to decide on what we want to make copies of, if we have to do that, or if we want to start with a more commonly available book. There are a lot of forbidden romances for instance, but I know that's a rather different tone than reading princely mirrors or adventure stories.
Oh, and for all the outlanders, if you have a favorite book you've lost coming here, I'd love to hear about it.
