Hey folks! I want to thank everyone who helped me out with that Python issue recently. You Corsairs are really an impressive bunch. And in light of that, I've got another favor to ask.

You see, I'm in need of some medical supplies. Mostly medicines, I'll list 'em out in a sec, but other things like soap, disinfectants, face masks, honey, tea, potable water... Anything you might need for nursing a sick person. And for the medicine I need-

[And then Emery names a bunch of different herbs/medications. Anyone with a decent amount of pharmaceutical knowledge should pick up on it being stuff used for the treatment of respiratory ailments. Pain relievers, cough suppressants, decongestants, that sort of thing.]

Medicine that's already prepared would be ideal but I have enough apothecary knowledge to make use of raw ingredients. As for how much I need, the answer is “As much as you can spare.”

[His sunny smile briefly shifts into a grimace.]

I'm aware the timing isn't great, but that's how it works out sometimes, isn't it? Still, I'm willing to compensate anyone who brings me something. There's a clearing in the woods up the hills to the East of Elysium, where you'll be able to find me most evenings. Just keep an ear out for the sound of my lyre.

[Spoiler alert: Despite Emery's words about compensation, anyone who bothers to ask for money is going to be grossly underpaid. In Emery's defense, the money he's earning from working as a traveling bard/healer isn't much. For all the nonchalance, Emery is deeply aware he's relying mainly on the goodwill of the Corsairs.]

I can gather and prepare. That's well within my wheelhouse. That said, such unspecified amounts isn't so simple a matter.

Is there a problem we should know about?

[Saying "I can see into the future" outright is the kind of thing Emery's reluctant to do.]

How familiar are you with oracles?

Hm. I've heard of such, anyway

Well, I'm sort of an oracle myself. Sometimes I see things that happen before they happen. That's what first alerted me to the Python situation.

Huh. So that's it. And now there's going to be, what? Some potential outbreak?

Yeah. There were people coughing and choking... and dying.

There's a lot of Imperials there, though. Probably more than usual with the whole situation with the Fallen Isles. Do you have any backup to come with you?

Probably. I haven't considered any yet. The less the better, I think.

How about I come with you? Two pairs of hands means we can gather more supplies, and I'm good at getting out of dangerous situations.

Hm. Well, if you want, I won't say no. And I'll assume that your naming specific herbs means you know your way around what to look for and what to stay away from.

I'm not just a pretty face! And even if I do pick a sprig of poison ivy, I have my healing abilities, remember?

[He rolls his eyes, but he smirks a bit then.]

Fair. There's always worse than poison ivy, but if you can purge a toxic beast, I'm sure you can handle anything in the woods short of something with teeth.

[Having his throne room to act as a personal teleporter means Emery shouldn't have much trouble getting wherever Tau would be.]

I'm flexible, timewise. I have a few tasks to finish up in Elysium, but I can head to Asphodel after. It'll be easier for us to catch some transportation from there.

If you can give me an estimate on how long those tasks'll take, then I can head over to the Asphodel meeting hall when it's time.
